Weirdo Bear
Updated: Feb 27

Teddy bears are bound to bring a smile to everyone’s face no matter how young or old they are. Teddy bears are among the most popular gifts for children and are often given to adults to signify affection, congratulations or sympathy. It is a beginner friendly pattern as it is really easy to make and it doesn't involve much sewing.

Weirdo Bear Pattern

If you don't have Schachenmayr yarn in your country you can substitute it with anything that has the same properties as on the label above. Make sure it is a mercerized cotton.
For example:
Cascade yarns - Ultra Pima Fine
DMC perle (size 8) : black ( embroidering the eyes)

Ear Pattern(2x)
Use the blue colour yarn. Work in a continous spiral. Mark the beginning of the lines with a piece of yarn(or stitchmarker).
Row 1 : 6 sc in magic ring ( 6 )
Row 2 : [ inc ] * 6 (12)
Row 3 : [1 sc, inc ] * 6 (18)
Row 4 : 1 sc ,inc, [ 2 sc, inc ]*5, 1 sc (24)
Row 5 -8: 24 sc
Cut the yarn, fasten off
Congratulation ! All the parts are done. Attach them and embroider the details. If you can't stop crocheting small creatures I recommend you my elf patterns on my blog. Or Manfred Bear , or Barney Bear :)
