Patricia doll is on Holiday

Updated: Aug 3

She is Patricia. Her favorite pastime is shopping. Especially dresses and accessories. Now she is showing off her new swimming suit on the Beach.

From time to time I will bring you a new set of clothes for her, but of course you can create your own.

In this blog post you can find the pattern of the swimming suite, the duck floating ring.

The Body pattern is in the Ad-Free PDF pattern that you can get right after you subscribe HERE.

If you have any other idea please write it below in the comment section. And maybe your idea will be the next set :)

I made a second doll, different than the one above, but only in its colors. I created a dark brown hair and the body is made with just beige colour (in the PDF pattern there is a change to blue). Feel free to add your own colours and ideas to the pattern.

For example:

Scheepjes - Catona

Ice yarns - Camilla Cotton

Cascade yarns - Ultra Pima Fine

Patons - Grace

Other materials and tools:

(the choice of hook size can be dependent on the tension of the individual crocheter use - each individual can change the hook size suits them best with certain types of yarn )

Swimming suite pattern

  • Use the blue yarn and a 3 mm hook

  • Work in continuous spiral

  • Mark the beginning of the rounds with a stitch marker or with a piece of yarn.

Leave a longer yarn tail before the slip knot. With this you can form the holes for the leg as it is shown on the below picture.

Chain 30, sl st into the first chain to form a ring

Row 1 : ch 1 (count as a sc), 29 sc (30)

Row 2-10 : 30 sc

Row 11 : 28 sc, inv-sc2tog (29)

Row 12 : 27 sc, inv-sc2tog (28)

Row 13 : 26 sc, inv-sc2tog (27)

Row 14 : 25 sc, inv-sc2tog (26)

Row 15 : 24 sc, inv-sc2tog (25)

Row 16 : 23 sc, inv-sc2tog (24)

Row 17 : 18 sc, 20 ch, 19 sl st backwards into the chains, sl st next the sc on the rim, 20 ch, 19 sl st backwards into the chains, 6 sc, sl st, cut the yarn, weave in yarn tails.

If you haven't done it yet, form the holes for the legs by sewing the opposite sides together with 1 needle stitch.

Embroider the ice cream (or anything you would like to).

The roses in the hair are the same as the ones in the PDF file that you have received after subscribing to my newsletter/freebies. Make them with the colour you used for the swimming suit. With a piece of longer yarn knot them around your doll's pony tail.
