Honeycomb coaster

Updated: Feb 27

Learn how to crochet a honeycomb coaster with this easy to follow photo tutorial.

This pattern is suitable for beginners as you will only use the magic ring, double crochet stitch, chain stitch and slip stitch.

It is also a great stash buster project that works up quickly. And the best thing is that this honeycomb coaster is not just pretty, but very practical.

Why don`t you make it as a gift for your loved ones? At the end I will show you an extra idea how to present it.

Available in a variety of delicious shades, this plied texture yarn knits up like a dream on 4 - 5 mm (US 6 - 8) size needles, and makes a perfect choice for baby and childrens' garments too!

For this honeycomb coaster I used a 4 mm hook.

Soak them in this solution then gently dry the coaster surface with a kitchen towel.

Lay out the object into the final shape on your prepared surface(thick cardboard or foam board). Insert pins in the 6 corners.

Gift option :

2. Cut a small white rectangular shaped paper too. You will write your wishes on this ( Happy Birthday! / Merry Christmas! ... etc). Glue on!

3. Put the coaster and a teabag on it.

4. Tie it with a ribbon.
